Root gallery page stylesheet not working right - help

The style sheet that I have for my root gallery is the same as the one for my other galleries, but it displays much differently for some reason. The title or description (welcome to my page) is not showing up correctly (I want a big black border and larger text like in my other galleries). Can someone tell me why and what I need to do to correct it?

My other galleries display correctly:

And I like this person's page and tried to copy the css to recreate the style but it too doesn't display correctly on my root gallery.

I'm pretty new to css but have read the intro posts, use firefox and have the webdev toolbar.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

You were right. I changed it. But...

I guess the real issue I was having is that I want that gallery title line (i.e., "The Garden") with the black border to also show up on my root gallery page (with a different title of course). Pbase doesn't give me an option in the root gallery to enter a title for this page, only a description (which ends up as the small white font).

How can I manually add this title bar to the css for my root gallery? I'm trying for something similar to what soenda has here at the root gallery http://www.pbase.com/soenda

Thanks

Nevermind - I figured it out!

I had to edit soenda's html and look for this line

<div align="center"><h2>Welcome to THE ASPIRANT PHOTOGRAPHER's Galleries</h2></div>

and then simply add that to the description box of my root gallery.

Thanks to one of the threads below - next time I'll spend more time searching the forum!

Thanks! :)
