You have to zoom down to street level and click until you can get an address location. Then you can click the gear icon and select "Share and embed map" option. You can see this on one of my images -

Google View Map Link" and not the pbase.com view map link.
That's certainly useful Richo, and I appreciate the tip. I'd much prefer for this feature to just get fixed right on pbase.
A related question: is there any way to export the pushpins from pbase into google maps?
I have looked at the source code for the maps.pbase.com/[user] page and if one could figure out how to extract and use the JavaScript code you might be able to do it. Part of the problem with a simple export is that I think Pbase is using a single Google Maps key, but also using different user IDs with that same key. My very quick analysis did not find an easy way to get to that user map using that key. Perhaps there is a way, but it would take some study or someone who is already proficient in the Google Maps API.
I do know you can manually do it:
1. Go to the Pbase map link and click on the "info" tab.
2. Copy the longitude and latitude from the info tab.
3. Insert the longitude and latitude in a Google Maps link:
- Code: Select all
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=loc:[latitude],[longitude]&z=18
Note the z= parameter is the zoom level.
