There are now two gallery templates: Original and PBlog.
A PBlog is a special kind of gallery that contains entries that may or may not have an image with them.
The PBlog template displays image captions, dates, and titles along with the thumbnail (if there is one).
We tried to design the HTML in the PBlog template so that you can really customize your PBlog with a stylesheet. This is currently in beta mode, which means that we may make additions or changes to the HTML after we get some feedback from you.
There is also a new PBlog upload tool that allows you to enter your PBlog entry text, title, and optional image all in one form. You can also use this tool for the Original template. The entry text will be the image caption. This tool can be reached via the "add new entry" link on your PBlog or from the "pblog upload" link at the top of the edit gallery page of any gallery.
Anyone can create a PBlog, and you can create as many of them as you like.
You can see a sample PBlog at:

We have also made some fun additions to stylesheets.
You can now use variables in your stylesheets using <setvar <i>variable name</i> = <i>variable value</i> > and <getvar <i>variable name</i> >.
For instance :
- Code: Select all
<setvar main_color = red>
<setvar contrast_color = black>
body {
font : 12pt <getvar contrast_color>;
background : <getvar main_color>;
}
You can use variables to set values for anything in the stylesheet, not just colors.
We have added a way to automatically variablize the colors in your existing style sheets.
Just edit the stylesheet, and click the "Variablize Colors" button.
Every distinct color in your stylesheet will be replaced with a variable.
Once you have variablized your stylesheet, it is very easy to play around with color changes without having to scroll through the entire thing looking for every instance of 'red'.
Have fun!
