November 7: Between Rainstorms. A beautiful morning for walking. Had to use my phone as I didn't want to carry a golf umbrella and a DSLR. Hardly anyone out. Love the way the vegetation smells after the first rain in over six months.

Today's photo reminds me of playing in the woods as a child! Oh, what fun we had! We'd often be there from mid-morning till late afternoon as our mothers would give us bag lunches!

I'll catch up with comments tomorrow. Today was a day to soak up the sunshine. 70F is unheard of at this time of year!

November 8: I was going to post a photo of this morning's L.A. Times announcing Biden's win. I changed my mind because I do not feel like gloating. All the divisions are still there. We need to put this bitterness and discord behind us and stand united.

Many of my best memories are bound up with animals I have lived with, dogs and cats. This photo shows my first two shepherds:

November 10: Cold

After the recent rainstorm the temperatures have plummeted. It was 43F / 6C this morning which is very cold for us.
It made me walk faster.

It is an Euroepan project to restore the old landscape

A (wo)man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his/her life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful. (free to J.W. von Goethe)

The recent rain in the past week has left some traces in the heath landscape of Drenthe.
It was a busy Sunday with many people around, but we still managed to find quiet area's
