Paint Shop Pro 2X

Just downloaded a trial version of this Program stepping up from MS Digital Image. I have one simple question. Crop a picture a simple task but once completed how do you turn off the cropping tool? The only way I have found is click the home button on the Learning Center.

Make sure you have the Tools Toolbar turned on.

Select any other tool. To switch between modes ...

I tend to leave the "text" tool as my last tool, it is the least invasive to the operating area. Also, adding my signature is the last thing I do when processing my images, so it's there the next time I open a new image.

Anyone figured out how to leave the last values in the "resize" boxes? All the previous versions of PSP did it automatically. X2 won't.

Also, is there a batch resize function? I have searched for it and e-mailed a request to Corel to include this but so far no response.

I have not noticed a way to get PSP x2 to save the last cropped size, and I agree with you that it's an unnecessary annoyance.

I suspect that the intent for batched resizing is that one should devise and run a script to do it. I don't do any batch resizing, so it hasn't come up for me.

The expedient way out is to use something like Irfanview to resize your photos more efficiently. That's how I handle rotations when I don't care to do each portrait view individually.
