There were several very good entries which I enjoyed very much. Any of the top 3 could have been the winner. I had a hard time deciding.

3rd place:

Very creative. Used an overhead projector to put a face on an apple.... Congrats on a unique image.

2nd place:

I've always loved these high speed droplet shots. One of these days I'll try myself. The exposure time was pretty long, 1/3 of a second. The crisp capture must have been with a flash illumination.

Winner:

A beautiful sphere. Ornate patterns captured in a crisp monochrome. The very shallow DOF and black background make this very ornamental. Very beautiful photograph.
