Thanks to all who entered this contest. My preferences were for the more loosely defined images and those that made me wonder what was being protested, or what the message was.

Honorable mentions, in no particular order:

Carol Phipps: The most abstract, which I like, but needs text for the message and context


Robin Lew: Good reportage shot, with the person in the crowd looking at the main figure


Flo Hendry; Passion and all singing or shouting at once makes the image compelling

Third place, Jola Dziubinska: From the image alone, we don't know why they are meeting; I like the mystery here


Second place, Markus Grompe: Nice mix of attitude and composition
