Let me thank all of you for posting these remarkable pictures.
It’s a matter of fact that it was not easy for me choosing only three photos among them.
The principle of this competition is that the final choice is based only on the personal taste of a single person.
As for me, I have no merit to be considered a qualified judge of photography.
I have simply followed my own parameters, which consist in respect for the theme of the competition and a certain accuracy of the composition.
Besides that, I have looked for the apparent irrational feelings that your pictures have suggested to me.
I’d like to give honourable mentions to nearly all the photos in competition, but let me choose two examples, which have made me think to include them in the leading position
In this photo of Arnie Peterschmidt I like the elegant composition on different horizontal layers and the beautiful contrast between the morning mist and the top of the trees already flooded with the warm sunlight.
I like here the original and nearly geometric approach of Walter Koenig to the subject of the competition.

THIRD PLACE
Luxun54
This picture is technically excellent, well composed and describe visually the feline mystery of a morning walk
SECOND PLACE
Gill Kopy
I love the use of selective light and the feeling of the sun coming to warm a little a cold morning.
FIRST PLACE
...And the winner is!
Ken Zaret
I was deeply impressed by this picture, which might look casual at a first, superficial sight.
In reality it conveys precise sensations and it's wonderfully composed, original and interesting.
In my humble opinion it is the most suitable for the proposed theme.
It's your turn now, Ken
