Just back from "The Wave" (Arizona)

I finally got a chance to visit that wonderfully unique
area called "The Wave" in the Coyote Buttes (Arizona) last week.
Wow - simply amazing and very difficult to photograph
without being too cliche. Please take a look and give me
some feedback - I have another reservation to go there
in a couple weeks and may want to try things a bit differently...

I have never been and I see I have been missing out on some severe scenes. I think you are off to a good start. I liked the self portrait quite a bit. Cheers.

I think you did very well. This is one of those subjects you can shoot hundreds of times and the shots will always be different. The "self portrait" is excellent because it adds a figure, which gives the viewer a greater sense of scale.

Wow! Amazing place! And terrific photos! I love the one with man and dog especially. I would love to go there. What is the weather like in Arizona in Dec and Jan?

being that I'm a meteorologist .
In the winter it can, and will be quite cool or even cold at times.
But there are plenty of warm, clear days in the middle of winter
when the temps will be in the 50s up in the Coyote Buttes area.
Be prepared for snow and 30s, just in case....
