I think it's somehow funny that this thread keeps growing, yet there is't a FAQ or a sticky posting at the top of somewhere so we can close this one off. This thread is useful info, but in and of itself it's almost becoming a nuisance since we have to keep pushing it up.

Seems like scott and his buddy are still at it. I wonder if this sociopathic behavior will EVER have a shelf life?

To new visitors and new members, no, Genghis doesn't own this forum, he just thinks he does.

it´s a shame that Slug knows about it, but refuses to help in any way. sure it does not bother him, he is almost never around ...

maybe it will help if a few more write to Slug@Pbase.com and remind him

Yeah, and bums like Scott abuse the privilege of the forum and he knows there is no moderator to keep him in check, so he adds even more and more of the same hackneyed tired B&W "street" images. They would be probably be welcome and appreciated, something he obviously craves, if he just stop drowning the forum with thread after thread of those images. I mean, this guy isn't just in a rut, he's made his own canyon of mediocrity.

The PaD Forum has a "Moderator". How about getting a "Moderator" for this forum? That will take care of "Street Photography.".

I totally understand that he could make just one big post called street photography, but I have been a member for a couple years and he has helped me a number of times. I agree to be upset and be mad that he makes a ton of topics but at the same time I never blocked him, because I love all aspects of photography. I spend a couple hours a day looking at others images and I love the courage he has to shoot the stuff he does. Anyone can shoot a mountain or tree or even there own child, but to walk up to a stranger point blank and take there photo is not easy. Who are we to rip someone apart, be upset at the amount of posts I agree with, but don't put down his work. Just because its not all photoshopped like everything else, its gorilla photography and in its own way its art. I myself hope that we can stop bashing his work, just bash the fact of how he goes about putting it out there. Thank you and best wishes.

courage ? not easy ?

his behaving in the forum proves that he is a master in impudence - which has nothing to do wit courage (except you mean it needs a lot of courage to be an ass on daily base)

Yes easy in the sense to just press a button and shoot, but not easy as a human being and the courage to do it. I love the expressions and the looks he gets. If you stage a person, those expressions don't come. Unless the model is an actor or actress. Ps Don't come at me, just voicing my opinion.

.... he could indeed, a bit like the rest of us have galleries?

Amen to that ....

I am totally in agreement with you here, I don't have any problem with the work of the individuals concerned (if we include here the serial respondent). What I do however take issue with is the way that it is rammed down our throats with monotonous regularity. If your work is worthy, and others find it so when browsing the recent galleries, they will add you as a favourite and check back on a regular basis. I have several favourite artists but I don't need them to post their work in the forums every 5 minutes to remind me to look at it. I think this practice might be well defined HERE ....
