Just one of Marilu Bishop's excellent works, but one of her best in my opinion.

Thanks so much CJ for sharing the link to Marilu's deer pic...I don't know how I missed that one! Outstanding photo for sure! :!:

I was browsing my favorite artists list today and came across some excellent bird pics that I voted for. See if you like them as well as I did, and if so, remember to vote!

Isn't it wonderful to see how the Popular Photos list is shaping up now that we're all voting for images? If the pop lists have class, pbase has class, and that helps us all. We are a classy bunch after all...the lists should show it! :D

Just looking through the popular photo list for 90-days and can't believe these two great photos only have 2 votes each! What do you think? Think one deserves your vote?

The outstanding cat pic above is by jln, and here's another from his/her gallery that may or may not be worth a vote, but it sure is interesting!!!

Phyllis -

Thank you for the compliments you have given me on my work. I appreciate them. Though I am a wedding photographer, I use pbase as a forum to share pictures of my baby with my family. I just recently started adding some of my work outside the realm of my baby snapshots and family photos.

The picture that you commented on was actually taken by a friend of mine, because it is my hand that my baby is holding on to. My friend's work can be seen at http://www.pase.com/pandorasbx. I mention it because I think her work is incredible and some of her images are worthy of your vote. Here is one I especially like:

Thanks again!

I just discovered this artist and I cannot believe her baby photos. They are outstanding. Simply breathtaking.

Shawna, you accidentally pasted the first link to one of your photos...I know you didn't mean to. :)

Yes, Angela's baby pics are pretty special. Two reasons I can think of: Poses are clever and unusual. And she does a mild high key treatment on them in Photoshop...that sure is what it looks like anyway. She has also added a touch of soft focus effect for that delicate glow. Nice way to do a baby pic.

I am trying to find several new artists (new to me that is) each day and see photos I've never seen. I am glad I took the time just now because I came up with some winners here. If you agree, please remember to give the ones you like your vote.

This snake photo by Carl speaks for itself. Love it!

Marvin Lee’s abstract has a lot to recommend it...the colors and the play of light. I even like the industrial look of the emergency light that goes with the railing. Beauty found in a basement!

These last two very different photos are both by Peter Beblo:

I did a doubletake on this architectural pic. Gotta love this one!

Ever notice how many pics of the sea are taken when the sky and water are blue? Nice, but gets boring. Here is proof that you needn’t put your camera away when the sun doesn’t shine. This one is verrry appealing to me...gray sky, gray ocean, gray bird, but just enough color to give it life and keep it out of the b/w category.

Come on folks, let's see some more of your finds!

Thanks, qing...what beautiful animals! Are these white tigers? I had looked throug Darren's galleries a bit but somehow missed this section, or maybe it's new. Darren's big cat gallery led me to Bill Pruit's gallery...seems they work with the tigers together.

And I looked at Bill's other galleries and found these three great pics. Wish I had that kind of timing! Maybe he'll tell us his secret some day!

The last is the smallest, but it's my favorite...sooo graceful! :!:

[quote="pstewart"] Maybe he'll tell us his secret some day!

Thanks for your kind words Phyllis..

It's really quite easy to have good timing. First, move to Florida, then find out where the birds nest, then buy a boat. After that, sit in the boat for hours trying to antisipate when and were the birds will land on their nest. Click! It's easy... :D

Careful Bill. Now that your secret is out, you will have a zillion boats floating around down there with folks snapping away.

Gene,

Nice links.

Sandy has some great bird shots there. $6,000 lens! Ouch. :)
