Gene (or anyone else), where do you focus? I try aiming for the eyes but they move so fast. Do you just increase the dof and aim for the whole body. Stop down to f6.7 and above?
Thanks for any thoughts.

The Eyes

Hi Anna,

I almost always go for the eyes. Sometimes, though not often, I will increase the DOF some like you mentioned, but not too often. Must for flight shots though.

Great shots btw!

That's a nice shot, Gene. I've found them a very frustrating bird to photograph as they just don't want to sit still!

Nice Pelican. Don't see those around the midwest, though I think I have the opportunity on a couple hour drive to the Mississippi when they are migrating.
