I'm keen to be involved, but don't see it as trading. If there is only one photo you want to comment on or criticise I have no problem with that.. Please feel free to leave suggestions for improvement, or question why I did certain things. I may not always agree with you, but always open to a good discussion.

Better late than never I suppose

I think I recall participating in this last year. I'm not sure what it says about this forum, or my work, that I need a thread like this to get comments. However, given I am not an artist simply sharing his work, but rather one trying to get better, I do need the comments. The constructive ones help me improve, and the positive ones help me gain confidence. Both are valued!

I will say this, I will happily start commenting on the work of those on the thread, however, I would ask that anyone inclined to return the favor please spare me any patronizing comments you feel are owed. If my images don't merit positive comment, or you don't have any constructive ciritcism, I would just assume you forgo commenting.

Well, I do not think it's a GREAT idea. I can't promise trading comments. I do not comment just to keep numbers of comments even. It's not a trade. What I can promise that if I like somebody's image I will comment for sure. And if I do not like the image and know that artist is OK with critique I leave a critique comment too. But counting 6 for 5, 20 for 19. Sorry....

If you want to browse my galleries you're more than welcome. I'm OK with critique, so bring it in. If I like someones work the artist will be on my "favorite" list and I will check his work frequently.

It's always nice to see (and maybe comment) on great galleries that otherwise you would never see. So it's a good idea, I always like to see good new photos/galleries that never come up otherwise!

I'm not into tit for tat trading of comments but do think this is a good idea in general.

I will attempt to look at the galleries of everyone on this thread and comment where I either really like a photo or feel I can give constructive criticism and hopefully people will have a quick look at mine!

My latest gallery is of old scanned in prints that I have attempted to pp as best I can (so be gentle on this one, please!) The other galleries are all relatively new shots.

Well, I better make a start!
