@fw and others_ u figure?? there is a hell of a lot more than annotating images going on around here. Not from you, from other folks. If people wanto annotate, write a book, I don't give hoot. It's all the in between commenting on every post "good pix" and all the cross talk bs that sucks. Questions and honest opinoions on someones pix is one thing. Excessive bs is another.

If you want to post excessive bs, at least post a pick with it to prove your point or something.

I like learning stuff about places I have not been to yet, thats fun. The rest of the jack needs to go.

Just for the records, when I said:

show more, talk less, let your pics do the talking for you.

I really did not mean no talk. What I wanted this forum to do was to publicise more photos and photographers. Ofcourse annotation is great and at times required to understand the context of the image.

Similarly, comments on photos and galleries are always welcome, though a better place would be the gallery/photo page itself.

What I do not want in the forum is to let it run amock with people criticising (destructively) others for a particular photo or style of photo or others to trade flames,insults and war of words with each other.

As for the question of only one photo per thread, it really is the call of the thread starter. If you have more than one photo, you are always free to open a new thread with similar topic without the one-photo-only restriction and post all the pics you want.

As for who decides what is too much talk - yours sincerely or any of the pbase team. So let us say - no more posts on interpreting what I meant, shall we?

I hope that clarifies the issue. Enjoy posting and seeing new photos.

I just go by what I read...hard to do anything else. When you see the old pix to talk was about 10::1. now probably 1::1 or 2::1
