I also like to browse the random photos. Once in a while you will spot a great photo. When I do I go to that gallery to see what else of interest may be there.

I hate browsing the random photos.

I like using the pbase front page example galleries or the 90 day popular list of the all-time popular list.

Here are the three pages I would reccomend sampling galleries from.

Everytime I browse the random photos 9-10 suck real bad. A waste of time for me usually.

I'm tellin' ya, Chuck, go with "random photos." I browse them all the time, and if I like one of the photos I see the whole gallery. I have found some real gems that way, from folks who don't bother with Show and Tell or, apparently, care much about votes or lists. They just put up great pics!

The random list is usually a complete waste of time for me.

Nobody has the time to look through 200 images to find a couple good ones do they? Maybe they do......

To each his own. If you don't enjoy the random photos, skip them. There's something here for everyone, so use PBase however you like and we'll all be happy.

I like to browse the random photos myself as I do find good ones that I normally wouldn't find. Not everyone really cares if their work gets voted for and they do not lobby like mad to get them to or constantly delete and then re-upload to keep themselves on the front page....

Deleting a pic and then reuploading it would be counter-productive when trying to earn votes on an image. You would be deleting the image votes everytime you deleted a pic. You would also be deleting it's ranking. Not to mention deleting the hit count totals and breaking any links or embeds people have made to that image.
