Draw your own conclusions, but I think this forum needs a moderator to block this spammer.

If it bothers you that much, why not just block the user and his posts no longer show, very simple.

Blocked him a longtime ago, what bothers me is that it keeps photographers who might post and visitors away from the forum.

Tired of the same bland B&W photos being dumped here like spam? Well, just use the friend/foe feature and help clean up the show and tell forum so as to be more representative of ALL Pbase members, not just some guy with an excessive posting disorder.

I had him blocked for quite a while and unblocked recently to see what was happening...I was amazed. Still there.

Personally I feel that street photography by g should be one thread that he can add a picture to every day, or ten, I don't care. Making a new thread everyday to add the same content or type of content is asinine and possibly disrepectul, even rude. I'm not sure why we allow this. Many other threads have a theme and everyone posts in there: show me you fall colors....show me your cool cars...etc.

All his threads should be merged into one and he should only post in that one. I don't feel that it's my place to say, don't post your pictures. But it is my place to comment that they should just be in one thread.

That would be my solution. Especially since I agree with the poster above that it is a turn off for new members and dilutes the top page of the most popular section.

Unfortunately Scott (Ghengis) has always been this way. An extremely antisocial individual who somehow has this obsession with his own photography. Considering the images all have the same basic point of view, he might as well have a camera stuck on top of his head automatically snapping pictures as being in his hands. He's found a forum which hasn't been moderated for years and takes advantage...Most other forums on the interwebs would have had him banned within a few weeks. Giving him is own thread wouldn't work. He would just move back to this forum to "force" people to wade through his stuff if they want to see other photographer's work. Sort of like those aggravating web ads whenever you click on a news website for a video story.

I'm amazed by his persistence, though. He was doing this years ago (the last time I posted here), and apparently he's still going. I have had him blocked for years, so I've been blissfully ignorant of him. Nevertheless, threads like this one occasionally remind me that he is still at large.

He posted on DPR a couple of months ago that his current collecting fetish is high-end bicycles, he's lost interest in cameras & lenses...

Funny, a few months ago, Mr. G found me on Facebook and started tagging me! Que Horror! I really thought I was in some warped M. Night Shamalan movie of some mad stalker gone socially techie. Apparently, my early gentle comment on this thread about taking it easy on the "spammer" made him feel as if he found an ally with ME.

Like, I said...que horror!

Oh, yes. He has a Facebook (am too nice and friendly, so reminder to unfriend...but maybe after the Holiday season) :D
