LOL :D (smiling at the poster's comment above--- am I in an ongoing online revolution now?)

Sorry, I've been a lurker all these years, and have been posting only on one thread (the contest), but I have been aware of the situation for years now, though it doesn't bother me because I am too busy "redecorating" my site ever too often. But this thread is quite helpful and amusing. It has gently poked me into looking over new and old threads, and appreciating other members' works (just wrote my very first appreciative comment to tazman's glacier cave images). I hope to be able to share my small input to the community slowly in the days to come as well (while being careful not to overdo it lest I'll have a thread dedicated to my name). :)

The friend or foe setting is a nice discreet choice, but we of gentle hearts must be reminded that we can "unfoe" the person in question if he has behaved, right? I do believe foe is a harsh term. Nuisance may be better, like the little pesky kid Dennis the Menace. :D

Guys, I just had a private message sent to me, "Leave Genghis alone. Loser!" from a guest. I really was trying to think who Genghis was, and if I happened to have upset his girlfriend or wife. Then suddenly, I remembered this thread. I wondered what made that "guest" think I was trying to put a person down when I didn't even mention anything about a Genghis in my post, and I was very fair with my only comment (to "unfriend a foe"). I hope that person who left me a "loser" note reads all messages carefully and be decent about sending insulting private messages in our own accounts. I honestly don't have a vicious bone in my body, and am minding my own business.

And am bumping this thread up. :D

LOL

'He' (under the cowardly guest name) also replied to me after I joined this discussion - with something stupid, can't remember what exactly, don't care. Now if there was only away to update the cookies so his 'crappy street photos' don't show up as a new topic under the forum menus causing me to investigate, only to find no new topics.
