Following the G20 summit in downtown Toronto late June 2010, there were many reports both from mainstream media and citizens on different social media sites, about Police brutality against peaceful protesters (not the vandals breaking shops windows!) at Queens Park (Ontario Provincial Parliament) and many illegal arrests, over 1000 in one weekend, which is a record in Canada's history.
On July 10, there was a peaceful demonstration to demand an independent public inquiry on Police behavior and hold accountable the politicians involved: Mayor Miller of Toronto, Ontario Premier McGuinty, and Canada's Premier Harper.
