HI Inga, thanks for the tip-off - I found three of my images there (there may be more, I didn't do a comprehensive search) and some others which I'm pretty sure are by some of my Pbase colleagues here in the UK. I sent pixdaus a strong-worded email requesting they take down the images - we'll see what happens!

(posted this on the pixdaus thread in Q&A):

This just in!! I got this reply overnight to my email of Friday evening. Looks like they're taking this seriously:

Dear Doug,

Thank you for your email. Some of our users think it is ok to post other people’s photography and rip off their hard work. It is certainly not. We
don’t tolerate copyright infringement and we try and remove as much as possible, however, some photos inevitably slip through the net.

I didn't find any pictures under the titles you emailed. Could you kindly email me the direct links to the three pictures in question? A direct link
should look something like this: http://www.pixdaus.com/single.php?id=123456. I'll remove them from the site as soon as possible.

I’m sorry if this has caused you any trouble. Please email me directly should you have any further trouble.

Thanks very much,

Regards,
Simone

If you find your images on pixdaus, a firm but polite email seems to be the way to go to get them removed...I'm happy for you all to use my email as a template if you want.

Good Luck!!

Thanks for the heads up. I sent an email message to pixdaus@environmentalgraffiti.com on 2/6 and haven't gotten a reply, though my email may have eaten it. What email address did you use Doug? Thanks!

Thanks for the tips !

I made a search with my name and found one of my images there ! See http://www.pixdaus.com/single.php?id=224611 !

Of course, nobody from PIXDAUS ever asked permission to use it !
