Vivian Maier was a previously unheard of photographer that spent the 1950's - 1990's doing street photography in the Chicago area. John Maloof acquired Vivian's work, 30,000-40,000 mostly MF B&W negatives and undeveloped film, at an auction in 2007. At the time, he didn't realize what he acquired at this antique auction, or what 'street photography' was, Vivian's work inspired him to learn street photography. John has posted some of her work, which I found it to be very interesting, a great story with some captivating shots.
