First place goes to Chris Lock for his "Flying High cover the Grand Canyon" image. The dappled light and lushness of the canyon come together very nicely for a wonderful window seat landscape capture.

Second place goes to Gill Kopy for her "The Harry Potter Via Duct" image. She managed to capture a unique landmark against a beautiful landscape and also manged to include the mode of transportation.

More of Gill's images can be seen at: http://www.pbase.com/gillk
Third place, also a train image, goes to John C. de Freitas for his "2011 - Rocky Mountains - Alberta - Canada" image. I thought this to be the better image from a technical standpoint and really conveyed the essence of traveling through the northern Rockies.

Honorable mentions:
Terry Bowkers' "Mount Hood"

Ken Zaret's "Colorado East Flyover 93"

Robin Lew's "San Francisco Bay Panorama .. 2942_4_5_6."

Again, thanks to all who entered and made this a really difficult challenge to judge. Now we get to see what Chris has in store for the next challenge.
