As a 9-and-half-year pbase subscriber and supporter, I have to say bye-bye today.

The reason is obvious, back to 9 years ago, pbase was attractive to pro and amateur photographers, the fee was fair, it was same as flickr. But now, flickr offers 1TB space for FREE, while pbase still charges $23 for 1GB. Actually my photos here are already approaching 1GB, which means if I add more photos, I will be in $46/year for 2GB category. Meanwhile, flickr has mobile apps, many other apps also support sharing photos to social networks from flickr. How about pbase? NONE! Also, flickr society is more active, I can also receive comments within hours after posting photos.

Hard drive space is so cheap today, I can buy 2TB harddrive for $46, several websites even offer TB spaces for free, it's unbelievable pbase still sticks with the old fashion.

Good luck, I might be back on the day pbase offer TB space, even at $23/year.

You might want to post this in question answer section of the forums. Seems most farewell posts are put there.
More people seem to reply to them there, just a suggestion.
