The issue of Classic Motorsports just being distributed presents my article plus three of my pictures from a recent car club convention in the Mid Coast Maine region.

Wait, I said three, right?
I wanted to present photos which told a little more about where we were, not just pictures of cars. So I selected one from our autocross at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. The antique planes in the background are part of their collection.
I also wanted an image that presented the cars in the scenery we enjoyed that weekend. What better than the view from atop Mt Battie, overlooking Camden harbor? The rally stopped there. The only problem was that there was no way to get a car into a position to get this photo without running afoul of various regulations, not to mention damage to the car. They are not Land Rovers, as you may have noticed.
So I took a bunch of photos atop the mountain, and left it at that. While doing my post processing at home I realized that the photos I took of the scenic harbor view, and those of the cars departing the parking lot, were facing the same direction , and at about the same angle relative to the horizon... So after three or 4 tries, I produced a reasonable combination of two images, both taken atop the mountain, within a few minutes and a hundred yards or so of each other. I did notify the magazine editor of this, but I guess they didn't mind.
