Photo Art Exhibition and Competition

We (Marisa and Máire) thought we might brighten up the days of the first quarter of the year by initiating the first ever Photo Art Exhibition and Competition on pbase. There are such a lot of talented photographers among pbasers, many of whom cannot become involved in committing themselves to a daily or a monthly theme. We would like to provide an exhibition space for such photographers and invite people to become involved by submitting some of the best of their work to the competition. We would in addition like to provide the facility to pbasers to vote, in a confidential manner, for their favourite photographs in the exhibition. The organisers are prepared to sponsor two (modest!) prizes for the two photographers who achieve first and second place in this competition.

We have been asked to set clearly a deadline date for the start of the competition.
The competition will star on the 22nd of February 2010.
So you can submit your photo before of that date ( we are not strict about the timing, even though we consider the as reference GMT time)
