It's been a quiet year or two for aurora but Dec 13 turned out to be a nice clear night. Here is a shot of the aurora and a shot of a meteor passing by the big dipper with aurora also showing. If you look closely you can see the big dipper in both images, although it may be easier viewing the originals.
