Adding an update/date to gallery title?

Is there an automatic way to add an update comment and date to gallery titles?

On my root gallery (main page) I want people to see the date a gallery was updated so they know if there is new stuff. This will be useful on my private family gallery, where they can enter and see which sub galleries have new additions. I'd especially like the date to be listed just below the gallery thumbnails (http://www.pbase.com/wembley)

Any thoughts, or do I just need to add the date to the gallery title?
