I´m unsure if this is the best name for this threat but I guess a lot of us know what I´m talking about.
I used to be a part of the big majority here, using Internet Explorer (IE) to hang around. But then after testing Firefox and some interesting plugins for web developing IE become useless.
In deed the only reason I still have it is because some codes does not work very good with Firefox but they do work with IE. And, if you have being reading the post around here this last weeks it is an increasing problem.
Just as an example look at this two shoots of a webdev stylesheet use in the same gallery:
Almost all the aspects are different. It is clear that webdev was design specially for Internet Explorer.
So... what can we do?
- Is there a unified code/notation that we can use?
- Is there a way to validate the codes for all/most common browsers? (even without the most spectacular effects)
- Is there a list with the most common problems associated to this issues?
- What is your solution? What do you think about it?
Thanks. Hopefully we will all be able to learn more here, because looks like a lot of us have experienced a non satisfactory experience when using another browser into our galleries. (a "what the !!!??" experience)
