Christine,

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm missing one step somewhere. I can "borrow" someone else's CSS and even make some simple changes to it. I grab the CSS line from the source (I'm using windows too) and type it in my address bar and can then monkey with the CSS code.

But now let's say I want to place some hyperlinks to my other galleries on one of my gallery pages. That's where I get lost.

Assuming I can even ape the HTML code properly, where do I insert it?? I see how everyone else's source code looks, but where do I actually paste a page I've created w/ HTML? Am I making sense?

STOP THE PRESSES -- I JUST FIGURED OUT THAT THE HTML CODE GOES IN THE DESCIPTION BOX. NOW I GOTTA FIGURE OUT HOW TO HAVE THE SAME HYPERLINKS APPEAR ACROSS ALL MY GALLERIES.

vote button

Post Fri Jun 10, 2005 9:15 am

hi everyone,
I am new in pbase and know almost nothing about html.
My question is: would it be possible to change place of the vote button ?
If yes, how ?

I am sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, I hope someone would answer.

Thanks in advance,

alem

To make them work remember to add this codes in the "description" of your galleries, and remember to check the HTML box.

1.- To center text, link or images:
Code: Select all
<p align="center">

FYI, current HTML standards require a closing tag for paragraphs:
Code: Select all
<p align="center">
Text of paragraph
</p>

Hi .... I'm looking at what you posted to 'insert an image' & I'm not understanding how you are saying to fill it in - you have two "image" words typed in etc . you say:

5.- To insert an image:
Code:
<img SRC="http://www.pbase.com/image/__IMAGE__NUMBER__.jpg">

…….. my pBase gallery photo I wish to insert in a forum is………

" http://www.pbase.com/jmcook/image/50119076 â€

Instead of <b> tages we should used <strong> tags. This way, it helps people with disabilities display the page the same as everyone else!!

We can use CSS right?

Did you get an answer to this? I am also interested doing this. For example, showing my usage counter on the home page.

Thanks. Elazar

just about the only things i dont get how to do are: how do you put in forums on your website, and how do you put in boxes for people to like post their comments and stuff? :?:

and also if anyone has any pictures or art of any kind that i can put on my site gallery (dont worry it will have your name down as the official owner) please email them to me at joakal13@yahoo.com

thanks in advance
