Missing Border Line, Any ideas how to fix?

Post Thu Jul 08, 2004 10:30 am

I use the fantastic Webdev.

Please has anyone got any idea why the Red Border line under the thumbprint does not appear, whereas the other 3 sides do, as in;

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul.

I don't know anything about Webdev, but as no one else has answered I'll chip in. It looks to me that it may be related to the code

margin-bottom: -45px

which appears twice in the a.thumbnail section at the top of the CSS.

Is this intended to work where titles are displayed under the image? Perhaps it causes a problem where there are no titles, as in your gallery? I'd suggest deleting both instances of this line and seeing what happens. Or try different values instead of -45px.

Hmmm, the plot thickens.

I've just noticed that your root gallery also has the missing bottom border (at least in proper browsers like Mozilla or Opera - it does seem to work ok in IE but that doesn't prove anything). The root gallery does have titles (gallery names) under the images, so that seems to knock my earlier theory on the head.

I guess we'll just have to hope someone who knows about Webdev reads this...

make a new css with the same code except for the -45 .....
change this to 0 and apply this to ur sub-galleries

problem is in ur subgalleries you dont use titles for ur pictures there
so most problably if you use titles here too
I think the problem is solved too without changing the -45

In fact without the 'margin-bottom: -45px' the title will be under the border
making more space between the thumbs
the -45 is pulling that space up till the title is in the box
without title the thumb under will be pulled up over the top
cause the extra 45 space for the title is no there then
