Calling for W3C compliant HTML and CSS (Slug?)

I enjoy pBase so much since I discovered this site, I believe it is the best of its kind.
The ability to customize style sheets is really something. However, most of our beloved galleries display nicely in Microsoft Internet Explorer only. If you try Opera, Netscape or Firefox you will notice quite a lot of misalignement and other bugs.
As far as I know even if Explorer is used by 95% of visitors it is the browser that LEAST respects the W3C standards. Opera, Netscape and Firefox not to mention others are much more compliant.
I switched to Opera lately, tired of exploits, security holes, viruses that come bundled for free with Explorer. But pBase doesn't look as great.
Slug... can you do something pleaaaaase? What do you think?
