New tools are becoming available these days, and thought I'd pass it on. Earlier this past month Sheila brought our attention to "TinEye" which easily tracks copies of your images posted on the net without permission. It's a free service, so sign up: http://www.inquisitr.com/2466/tineye-tracking-your-images-pixel-by-pixel/

Another free tool for those who enjoy including original text (poems, how to's, and such) into their pages, it's also traceable for possible plagiarism. Just type in your site pages url and it brings up any site using your content:

Both offer "link backs" using small unobtrusive banners which can be placed on your site. They're a great deterrent to theft, and much more effective than "right click disable!"
