Great question Jant ! I really want to know this too.
Why PBase crew don't allow us to put it by default.
I'm sure many picture are not viewed correctly by visitors who don't think (and knows) to click on "original".
Please somebody help us !

Sorry for being a bit brief before. The only way to presently make original size the default, is to upload images that are max 800 pixels at the longest end (width or height).
