It is more than 1 year ago that I have changed the design of my pbase site. I am very happy with the look. I have tried to give the representing images the look of a white slide. I tried to keep the side as white as possible. I wonder if somebody can use my site to make a style sheet where my design is incorporated and the uploaded images will automatically fit into the slide frames. You might better understand what I mean, if you just take a look at my entrance page:

A small attempt

I am not able to make the rounded corners. I am sure that there are ways but I have not looked into them yet.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for either but you are welcome to it.

If you do decide to use it please sign my guestbook and let me know.

It should be possible by using an image as a background for the td.thumbnails cells. That way you can load the 'slide' background for every cell in the table with the thumbnails and achieve this exact effect.

If I find the time I'll do a quick experiment.

Flemming

Thanks for your response. I am not good in html, so I just "create" the white slides in photoshop, insert the image in the slide - also in photoshop - and upload it. The rounded corner are necessary, to have that authentic slide look. I thought it would be only more practical and less time-consuming, if the slides (without the image) would be already part of the style sheet.

Another Attempt

I was hoping there was an easy way with just CSS code. I found a few but they looked a bit over my head.

here is a version with images as Flemmingbo suggested. I had to make the image with the drop shadow because I had no slide images on hand.

Thanks flemmingbo, I have also visited your site and I like it very much. I have described the problem above, so I will not repeat it. Actually it is not a problem for me, as I can live also with my method of creating the slides before uploading. But I do not mind, if a new style sheet is created, based on that idea.
