The marquee code was posted earlier. Perhaps by you. I cannot read that fast. I have used it but prefer a scroll delay=24.

The scroller is old... the code did originate from me though I don't remember ever posting it here.

The rest is new - the squared background, the translucent pbase bar etc.

Nice layout.
Both the marquee and the translucent images are standard CSS methods - hence its possible people may have similar techniques as yours.
Do note that the opacity tag works only on IE - for it to work in Mozilla/Netscape you need to use the -moz-opacity tag.
