Modified my CSS

So I did it, at last. I started to modify my Pbase page (without real CSS knowledge), using CSS info from many different pages.
I've modified it quite a bit (at least it looks totally different than the standard Alexc layout I used before). Everything seems to work on my PC.
I would like to ask does it show up correctly on your PC to?
A specific question (for example) I used the font called Calibri (and adjusted the font size according to this font). Does the correct font show on your screen? Is everything working ok (didn't I screw up the code to much).

Thanks for taking a look and the feedback!

It looks fine in Firefox, using IE7. But I'm not familiar with the font you specified, and have no idea if it displays as you intend or not.

Thanks for looking. How do I know if the font displays as intended? Of course is all right on my PC.

Good... what I'm referring to though, is that Pbase currently doesn't support Standardized Unicode. Which is something I feel (like many others) would be nice to have implemented.

So I cannot be sure that the correct font is displayed?

I have another question about slideshows.
In the following link http://pbasewiki.srijith.net/tipsntricks?s=slide it says: Note that this was written before PBase added inbuilt support for slideshows.
So is there an easy slideshow creator? Instead of all that code, where to find it?

Thanks again.

Srijith has always been ahead of most things which have been implemented as standards, and now Pbase has added support for a slide show for our main gallery page. You can view the original thread when it was implemented here: http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?t=32091

Note to go through the thread since there were improvements made to it as the thread goes along. If you have questions once you get into it, post your code in this forum so others can have a look, and possibly help you out.

Good luck, and have fun.

Looks fine in Firefox, and appears to be working (although it's hard to judge whether it looks like you want it to - can't really know what it looks like at your end :)

You should change the font however. Calibri is not a standard installed font on Windows or Macs (as far as I know) so instead on my Win XP the font Trebuchet is used. I recommend using a more standard web font like one of these: http://www.ampsoft.net/webdesign-l/WindowsMacFonts.html

I can't see your text in Calibri font, I see it in Trebuchet MS.
You can only view the fonts installed on your computer, and Calibri is not among the fonts I have installed on my computer.

I can see the text in Trebuchet MS font (second font specified in your style shet) because I have it installed on my computer.

I hope this can help :)
