The Luis slide show function can be replaced with the supported version which admin quickly responded to fixing for this reason. There's a long thread in the News forum which should help here: http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?t=32091

Since it's supported, it shouldn't be disabled after installation.

Well this has finally prompted me to build my own site. I am building it based on zen photo which is pretty nice to work with. I have decided to keep my pbase account because of the amount of traffic I receive to it. To be honest I thought it would be a lot harder to move 4500images but it was actually pretty easy using PBgrab, and the fact zenphoto allows you to just dump folders of files via ftp.

Anyways I will still hang out on pbase, the community is still good, but my focus will now be on my own site for the most part.

Its a open source php gallery, I have installed it to my own server and I am building my own site around it, using it like a framework. The difference between it and say a service hosting your photos, is you have total control. I can change any piece of code I want, in anyway that I want. But by no means is it for everyone. pbase is still my favorite hosting site to get started, i have just found it a little restrictive lately. And I am not trying to get people to leave pbase, I just have the means to build my own site so I have finally got around to doing it.
