view source command question

I have obviously got IE6 and/or XP Pro set up so that it will not show source code nor allow saving it. What do I need to change to be able to view source code?

I have notepad as the program for "TXT" files.

Would greatly appreciate any hints.

What happens when you go to the "View" menu in IE and select "Source"? If nothing happens you may need to empty your IE cache aka "temporary files". Go to Tools--> Internet Options. Click the "General" tab and then on the "Delete files..." button in the middle of the box. On the next box make sure the box is unchecked and click OK. If your cache is very big it may take a while.

That is not the problem... EDITED: Oh yes it is!!

I have set something that is blocking it. I suspect a security thing but don't know exactly what it is.

EDITED:

Nigel, you were correct after all. Many thanks!! :D
