Hi,
I have been trying to insert the following code into my root page description
<!-- Start of StatCounter Code -->
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
var sc_project=21222;
</script>

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js"></script><noscript><a href="http://www.statcounter.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://c1.statcounter.com/counter.php?sc_project=221179&java=0" alt="web statistics" border="0"></a> </noscript>
<!-- End of StatCounter Code -->

But for some reason this part of the code is being deleted

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js"></script>

...therefore, the counter isnt working.
Any ideas why Pbase deleting this code...
help??!!

Seems that Pbase removes SCRIPT tags to prevent the malicious use of evil Javascript!
see :http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?t=63
(at the bottom)

A possible fix.

I've had a similar problem with HTML code being removed. I think it has something to do with Javascript.

Anyway, I went and found another service that offers a similar free web page counter http://gostats.com. The best part is that there is an option for a simple html version that doesn't need javascript.

NedStat in Style Sheet

I had no luck inserting the code into a style sheet. However, I was able to paste the HTML code provided by NedStat into the gallery description.
Works fine (remember to turn on HTML). Only mod was adding <p align="right"> ahead of code to move it to the right side.

I use Nedstat code in my gallery descriptions too. It will not work in a style sheet as they are not designed for javascript.

The Nedstat counters start from the day you create the relevant counter.
