Can the size of thubnails be changed? What about relative position: can landscape ones be made to centre on the height of the portrait ones (instead of hanging at the top)?

Thumbnails as are image sizes are set by pbase. There is no edit option for size

You might be able to change the valign property of the thumbnails td to be valign=center to center all images.
