Thumbnails Proportions

I have being thinking a lot about it and I think we should be able to decide the proportions & sizes of our gallery-displaying-thumbnails. Two examples:
a) Squared photos; the thumbnails is huge (160X160) and does notlook good in proportion.
b) Panoramas; the thumbnails are useles here... a thin line that cannot be viewed.
Neither of these works really good with the actual system choices, and a lot of us know that.

I can think of ways to implement this using HTML plus some really really hard work to make things fit here at PBase (basically overriding all pBase system with HTML) but I just don´t have the patience to do that.

So please, could the best photo site on the NET implement that in the near future? Not all pictures fit the rigid system we have right now.

PD: Note that I have used the term "gallery-displaying-thumbnails" wich is different from PBase thumbnails, wich are used in the populars, the front page & the rest of the site.
