Regenerate all thumbnails in gallery

It seems PBase is waiting for us to fix our own missing thumbnails etc.

Corrupted thumbnails have apparently been something that just happens
here, and so there is an option on image-edit page to regenerate one.

I found today that doing this (on a thumbnail that is okay) actually
regenerates long-missing Medium image also.

Since I may have almost a thousand mediums missing I don't want
to manually do this.

Assuming PBase is still being worked on, I'm requesting a

"Regenerate all thumbnails in this gallery" option.

to be used in situations such as the current one when entire Medium sets
are gone but thumbnails are okay.

The Medium shots are important for people without DSL or
cablemodem but who have been notified there are photos here
they might like to see.

You are right -- after reading your post I tried the "Regenerate thumbnail" option and it worked to fix my missing med and small images -- In the past, and in fact as recently as last week, using that option would result in a huge thumbnail messing up the display of all the galleries -- but yesterday it worked -- now we shall see if the problems return.

The feature you are requesting would sure be nice for those with a lot of images -- if,as it appears, we are destined to live with these problems.

Things seem to have stabilized. My missing originals and rotten
thumbnails were in galleries which had uploads during November and Dec,
and early January.

I finally did manually do about 500 regenerations to get the mediums
back for relatives and friends with slow modems.

AND, got one huge thumbnail which of course widened any thumbnail
in the same column of the table. I fixed that one thumbnail by
re-uploading the original and then it was okay.

SO, they'd need to offer the feature with an "At your own risk" (of huge
thumbnails) to people who know what to expect and know how to fix that.

I can see why they've not done it automatically.... (assuming they
were here and made a decision, that is).
