converting raw to jpeg

I am new to digital photography. I have a Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D and use photoshop CS. I can not convert the raw files I shoot to jpeg witk CS unless I save them to the web. That gives me a 72 dpi resolution . When I process a raw file then try to save it using the save as command jpeg is not included in the file formats that are listed as save options. Can anyone help? I have the raw 2.4 beta download from Adobe installed.

Goto image -> mode -> 8 bits channel

The raw file is most probably 16bits which is not supported by the jpeg format.

That was the problem. Now I can convert to jpeg at will. Yuor help is greatly appreciated
