I guess the way it should be is that the public_flag has to be by default set to off so that you can work on the gallery and then make it viewable. AS of now, the gallery is viewable while I am uploading and editing the images.
So, a temporary solutions would be to create the gallery, make its public flag to off, edit it and then set it back to on
The problem lies in your ideal solution that to many people would forget to set the flag to public.Then cry for help and that PBase is broken. If you want to work on your gallery (non publicly you can do it with a simple click when you create the selection for number of images, text, spacing and style sheets.
