Two-step Authentication

For security would to see an extra step where a code is sent via sms to my cell phone when I log in.

Only if it's optional for people who want it. It's a photo sharing site, not a bank. I'd regard two step authentication as being an irritating overkill on a site like this, especially if it was required for each login.

Many of the 2 factor authentication processes are initiated when a login is attempted by a new/unknown device, i.e. PC, mobile device or a new location. What security risks are you concerned about?

I'm with akmc_in_au on this one. When traveling, needing to enable the phone for potential charges -- roaming, international, whatever -- to be able to post a couple of pictures would be annoying and potentially expensive. That said, I got my very limited thrills by using Facebook last week on a Rhine cruise, via onboard WiFi (which was not terribly reliable -- but likely the phone wouldn't have been either).
