Recent galleries

I think it could be a good idea to show a thumbnail of the recent galleries, in the same style as the PAD metagallery page. Which is very nice, thank you Slug!

I think this would be very popular. It could take the representative image from the newly uploaded gallery or the last uploaded image to a user specified gallery (like "make this my photo a day gallery" it would be "make this my recent gallery" or "make this my favorite's gallery"). I think it would create more traffic to good photo galleries because a good photo would pull in viewers, whereas "joe's inbox" just doesn't attract 'em. Plus if viewers could set it to show the latest upload from 100 galleries it would be a great at-a-glance look at many recent uploads or, because people will do this, a look at what people think is their best work and hence most likely to draw visitors, which is fine really. That's how we can show our work, even if it doesn't make it to the popular galleries or popular photos pages. Only one image per day, per photographer should show.

Let's hope Slug will make it true soon. I think it could really help people to make each other discover new and interesting galleries of pictures.
