I am a compulsive geotagger. I used to enter as a location a place the search would find when I was geotagging the image. But recently I have been unable to a put a geotag on an image if I have already entered a location in the display for that image. I can still enter a location after I have geotagged the image. Is this a bug or an intentional change for some strange reason?

Not sure I understand the steps you are trying to use. I just geotagged this image to a county in Texas which is what I had in the location. I clicked edit image then Geotagg then clicked search. It found the center of the county then I clicked save. It added the view map link and correctly went to the location. https://pbase.com/image/169121446

Very interesting as geotagging stopped working in November 2013. There are over 70 posts on this thread about it:

I had assumed it had not worked in all that time, until I saw this latest thread. I tried geotagging one of my images and now it works again. All my old tags are still there as well.

When I researched this in 2013, it appeared to be a permissions and authentication issue on the server with the Google map key, perhaps with the move to new servers this was fixed?
