He just has uploads turned off to prevent another crash and total loss of data I think. He probably wants to keep this backup exactly how it is/was.

This really isn't looking good at all. If the data has been corrupted then I guess we've all lost a few days work which isn't a tradegy by any means. But if they're rewriting the entire program, then it's going to be a while. I wish we'd get an update.

I remember the beginning of Ebay and AOL and they had some significant problems but this is the longest downtime I've ever encountered.

Yup. Me too, only longer outages I have seen is when the sites never came back.

I think the images, votes, messages, and links from the ninth are now gone forever. I hope not, but it seems true. Hopefully Slug proves me wrong. But he seems way to quiet on this issue.

Slug now says everything will be ok. Yes sir, it's true!
