Gallery Designs

I'd like to change the layout of some of my galleries. (I currently mostly use a variation to the tarheel css with larger writing and that doesn't darken photos not under the mouse.)

Can anyone recommend good gallery layouts on this site that I could use for some inspiration?

Thanks,
Vince.

Best place to start (if you don't know it by now) would be the stylesheet gallery - http://www.pbase.com/stylesheets

Personally I like karen1109 - http://www.pbase.com/stylesheets/karen1109

Lot of people seem to like webdev but I suggest you read through some comments on this sheet in the Stylesheet forum - http://www.pbase.com/stylesheets/webdev

A lot of people in Pbase use joshua though I personally would prefer a different text color - http://www.pbase.com/stylesheets/joshua

Thanks,

I've had a look at them before now and I currently use my own variant on tarheel. Mostly what I'm looking for at the moment is inspiration.

The leaf you have in the background, on your pages, looks very good. I've already copied you CSS down to see how it's done and may well try something similar soon.

Vincent, I'm not sure what you're looking for but my CSS is a bit different than most. see: http://www.pbase.com/charette

I described its design awhile back in this post http://forums.pbase.com/post?post_id=307294, however the forum archive server is currently down. Of course, you can grab it from the source code in my gallery. You will need the attached two graphics installed in your gallery for texture. (I noticed over 100 direct links to these graphic from my gallery. Should I ever delete the images those folks are out of luck ) Take Care, LC

Nor me, in all honesty. Inspiration mostly. Those are very nice looking galleries. The cut-out, slide mount is very effective.

Thanks.
