Hello,
Sorry, cannot seem to figure out how to insert a banner at the top of each of my galleries.
Can anyone tell me what the secret is?

Thank you.

Sure, I can help you with that.

To get text at the top of your galleries, go to the "edit gallery" page. Enter the text in the "Description" box, third from the top. Then be sure to click "Update Gallery" beneath that block of the page. It's on a ribbon across the page there.

That should do it. Good luck.

I assume since you're asking about inserting a "banner", you're referring to an image. Place this in your gallery description, with your image browser url in place of the 12345678. Be sure the box just underneath the description area which says "check here if using html" is checked.

Code: Select all
<center><img src="http://www.pbase.com/gkorent/image/12345678/original.jpg"border=0></center>

For "how to's" check the link to the Pbase Wiki at the bottom of my post for lots of helpful tips.

Thank you very much Dang. Got the banners (images) up on my pages.
Now I just have to figure out what other improvements I can include to personalized all the pages some more.

Hi Bart,
Can you post the exact code as you added it to your gallery description so we can see? You'd need to change the user name to yours, and replace the image number. And, did you check the box under the description area for using html?
There's no reason why it wouldn't work if done properly. It's standard code.

Hello, I have been trying to do the same but it keeps coming up as "direct linkng denied". I have changed the name and image, I just can't seem to get it show up.

Pop on over to your gallery settings here: https://secure2.pbase.com/account?view=options

and make sure Direct Linking is enabled.
