"Caption" problem?

This seems like a small bug.

If I go to an individual image page and edit the "caption" section, and update the image, everything works as long as I put something in the "Caption", but if I edit it to leave it empty, the older value is retained. i.e if my caption field had some text in it, it will get modified properly if I substitute it with another text, but if I delete the whole text and leave it empty, the field is not updated and the old text is still retained.

Anyone has the same problem?

Oh yes, the page that you see immediately after clicking the "Update Image" button will look fine, but try checking your image or click on the "Edit Image" link again and you will see what I mean.

i don't seem to be having that problem. My captions look just like everyone else's captions... which should be the right way? I guess

you were right. a bug, not a cache problem.
it was only updating if the caption was entered. so an empty caption had no effect.
